External Recognition
NCC Education is recognised by the Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulator (Ofqual) and the Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills (DIUS) as an awarding body
Our IT awards are supported by the UK e-Skills sector skills council and our business awards by the UK Council for Administration (CfA) sector skills council.
NCC Education is also inspected by the UK Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) as part of its review of university collaborative provision
Many universities in the UK and overseas trust NCC Education’s quality systems and examination procedures, thus giving full recognition to our qualifications at year 1 (Diploma level) and year 2 (Advanced Diploma level).
Quality Assurance
NCC Education has a long tradition of setting and maintaining the highest quality standards in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) education and assessment, and our proven track record is well known and respected by universities and the commercial business sector alike. In 2003, we added Business and Foundation programmes to our portfolio. There are very few organisations in the world more experienced than NCC Education in the task of quality assurance on such a large scale internationally and through working in collaboration with UK higher education institutions.
NCC Education adopt the same processes around the world for accrediting and monitoring centres; we use the same system and standards and all examination papers, marking, moderation and issuing of certificates are controlled from the UK by the Academic Board. A key principle of the model is the segregation of responsibility and accountability between the design, delivery, assessment, administration and other services to students and centres on the one hand, and the quality assurance functions on the other. This segregation is transparently achieved in NCC Education, where all quality assurance functions are accountable to the Academic Board.
Above all, the Quality Assurance system crucially depends on the involvement of all participants in the system, from the Academic Board and the qualification-specific boards, through the framework of Academic Managers, down to academic and administrative staff in centres responsible for course delivery, and their students. Operating on so many layers and over such distances, it is vital that an intensive and efficient communication and feedback process is in place. This is done through both formal and informal feedback around the hierarchical system to ensure any non-conformances are detected or anticipated and an environment conducive to continual improvement is in place.
Hence we can give assurance that any student, in any one of the countries in which NCC Education operate, sits the same examination paper which is then marked to the same standard. This means all our students worldwide are assessed and certificated on equal terms.
All NCC Education Accredited Partner Centres, regardless of the qualifications being offered, undergo the same annual accreditation process.
The regulatory authorities’ logos on NCC Education certificates indicate that the qualification is accredited only for England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Academic Board
All NCC Education quality assurance functions are accountable to the Academic Board. This is an independently constituted body, chaired by Professor Peter Ford, former Pro Vice Chancellor of the University of Nottingham, which is outside the normal chain of management of NCC Education. All our quality assurance procedures follow the QAA codes and the Academic Board is responsible for setting and upholding these academic standards in all areas of NCC Education’s operations.
"As Chairman of the NCC Education Academic Board, it is my responsibility to ensure that the range of qualifications offered meet and exceed the standards set by the relevant British quality assurance agencies.
Every year the quality of students qualifying through NCC Education never fails to impress me. NCC Education graduates who progress onto courses at my own university, are dedicated and highly motivated and this is reflected in their results and, of course, the progress they make in their future careers. If you want to study for an international degree, I would highly recommend the NCC Education International Degree Pathway. "
