NCC Education

NCC Education is a global leader in the delivery and certification of quality education programmes and services, working in partnership with over 350 centres in over 45 countries.

NCC Education delivers programmes from foundation to postgraduate diploma level in computing and business. The majority of our programmes are delivered face-to-face through our partner centres but we also deliver on-line top up degrees in Business Administration and Business Computing and Information Systems validated by the University of Wales.


Executive, Marketing

Main purpose of the role: A multi-faceted role supporting a busy UK based marketing department with the administration and co-ordination of projects in a variety of media and styles.

Overview of Role:

Work as part of the marketing team assisting in key projects and supporting the needs of all departments within the company.

Support all Accredited Partner Centre needs with a focus on those within a particular region.

Support the planning and implementation of processes and departmental projects.

Assist with events, design work and print costs.

Main Tasks:

  • Support regional marketing strategy
  • Support Accredited partners with campaigns, advertisement, promotions etc
  • Ensure Partner Websites and promotional materials are correct
  • Advert content approval and checks
  • Management of partner queries, analysis and recommendations
  • marketing research projects
  • Writing of press releases, of articles, adverts, case studies, student stories etc
  • Support CDs and on line systems updates and maintenance

Web Development officer (C# and .NET)

Head Office - based in Manchester, UK.

The ideal candidate will have good all round Web development skills in C#/ASP.NET, XHTML, CSS and JavaScript with a real enthusiam and passion to developing web based solutions. Any applicants should have a minimum of 1 year's experience in C#, ASP.NET 2.0, and SQL Server 2005 within a Web development/digital media environment.

Main Responsibilities

Responsible for the creation, design and development of corporate websites and systems according to specification.

  • To continue with the design and develop the corporate website ensuring strong functionality and optimisation
  • To continue with the design and development of the corporate intranet
  • To continue with the design and development of the Connect website ensuring strong functionality and optimisation
  • To develop the integration of the SQL Server database with the websites developed
  • Work both in isolation and as part of a team with minimal supervision
  • Provide accurate timing estimates for work based on verbal and written technical briefs
  • Contribute to documentation (instructional and technical) where required

Key technical skills

Executive, Programme Development

Main purpose of the role:

To contribute to the development, maintenance and delivery of a set of programmes from commercial and academic perspectives.

Reporting to:

Senior Manager, Academic Programmes

Overview of role:

To contribute to the management of a set of programmes considering commercial and academic issues in consultation with other staff. To answer queries from internal and external customers about all aspects of the programme. To act as the first point of contact for teaching staff engaged in online programmes. To manage the teaching of online programmes.

Main tasks:

  • Contribute to the development of feasibility studies into new and/or modified products and modules.
  • Contribute to the management of the development and maintenance of programmes and modules.
  • Maintain programme and module information on relevant information systems.
  • Organise the Accreditation of programmes and modules.
  • Train staff in new processes and products.
  • Train centres and communicate any changes or updates.
  • Provide statistical analysis for programmes and modules.
  • Provide forecasts for new products
  • Standardise processes for efficiency

Manager, Programme Development

Main purpose of the role:

To manage a set of programmes, taking full responsibility for all academic i ssues and contributing to the commercial decisions regarding the programmes.

Reporting to:

Senior Manager, Academic Programmes

Overview of role:

To manage a set of programmes taking full responsibility for all academic issues (including development, maintenance and delivery) and to contribute to commercial decisions regarding these programmes.

To contribute to the efficient operations of the Product Development department by taking management responsibility for certain aspects of Product Development's operation.

Main tasks:

  • Development of new programmes, including programme design, initial module design, recruitment of module developers, management of the module development process, management of the materials development for release.
  • Maintenance of existing programmes and their modules, including determining and scheduling maintenance activities, recruitment of external developers, maintenance of the development process, management of updated releases.
  • To develop academic regulations and programme handbooks for programmes.
  • Where the post holder has responsibility for an online programme, to manage the delivery of the programme, including the recruitment and management of external academic staff and liaison with other departments to ensure the smooth running ot the programme.
  • Where a programme is a validated top-up degree, to manage the interaction between NCC Education and the awarding institution including the management of examination boards and boards of studies and the development of materials for validation.
  • Where a programme has third party involvement, to manage the interaction between NCC Education and the third party.
  • To proactively engage with all quality aspects including the preparation of materials for, and attendance at, internal and external validation events.
  • To be aware of pertinent developments in the academic subject, teaching methods and quality initiatives.
  • To take management responsibility for one or more aspects of the operation of the Product Development department.

International Business Development Manager. (Graduate/Trainee)

Main purpose of the role:

To maintain and develop relationships with current customers and develop new relationships with prospective customers.

Overview of Role:

Objective is to train up, learn products and start building relationships with new/existing customers. As the role develops you will take on and manage your own business within the European market

Main Tasks:

  • Prospecting for new business (new and existing clients)
    • Colleges/training companies/schools
  • Liaising with British Councils in given countries
  • Follow-up calls from mail shots
