Home-based (Assessment Setting), UK Head Office, Didsbury, Manchester (Marking and Moderation days)

Term: Fixed Term Contract
Salary: Dependant on role and experience
Closing Date: 30/05/2014
Reference Number: DIGI recruitment

Experienced ICT and Computing consultants required to develop, mark and moderate assessment material for our new range of computing qualifications; Digi-Explorers (Key Stage 1), Digi-Navigators (Key Stage 2) and Digi-Trailblazers (Key Stage 3).

NCC Education is seeking experienced consultants with an excellent track record creating, marking and/or moderating relevant content at Key Stages 1, 2 or 3. We are looking for individuals who not only have a suitable background in ICT but have a good understanding and awareness of the new English National Curriculum for Computing.

Ideally, you will have prior experience of setting, marking or moderating assessments in ICT or Computing. You should also be familiar with recent developments in ICT and Computing and be able to work to tight deadlines with support and direction from NCC Education’s Product Development team. Experience of marking and moderating materials for non-native English speakers would also be an advantage. For more information about the individual qualifications visit: /our-qualifications/digi-qualifications

Each qualification is assessed through a single two-part examination. This single examination consists of written theory components and a practical component.

Candidates have the option to choose one of several assessment cycles throughout the year. Examinations are conducted within a defined assessment window at the beginning of each assessment cycle. Marking and moderation for examinations then takes place. For 2014/2015 markers and moderators will need to be available to travel to and work at NCC Education’s UK Head Office in Didsbury for one or more consecutive days in July 2014, October 2014, February 2015 and April 2015.
