We have come a long way since being a part of the National Computing Centre in 1966

Today, NCC Education is an internationally recognised UK awarding organisation in Computing and Business, with a strong global presence, offering qualifications supported by comprehensive teaching and learning materials, in more than 50 countries.

1966

Establishment of NCC (National Computing Centre) by the British Government

1976

First overseas education centre set up in Malaysia

1978

Launched Threshold Scheme to provide on-the-job IT training for school leavers

1997

NCC Education Ltd incorporated as an awarding body and became independent from UK government. Established regional office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

1999

Established regional office in Cape Town, South Africa

2001

Introduced virtual learning environment

2002

Launched first postgraduate level award; the Postgraduate Diploma in Strategic Business IT

2003

Introduced the International Foundation Year (IFY), the International Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Business qualifications

2004

Established regional office in Beijing, China

2006

Launched online BSc (Hons) Business Administration top-up degree programme, validated and awarded by University
of Wales

2008

Inked strategic partnership with the University of Greenwich, enabling centres to teach locally, BSc (Hons) Business Information Technology top-up degree awarded by the university

2011

Launched new Level 4 and Level 5 Diplomas in Business and Computing

2012

Launched new IFY Programme, leading to increased progression routes with reputable Universities

2013

Launched new online Computing top-up degree, validated and awarded by the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan)

2014

Launched innovative range of Digi qualifications following the English National Curriculum for schools

2015

Introduced new online Business top-up degree, validated and awarded by University of Worcester
