The NCC Education English Placement Tests (EPT) are a straightforward and quick assessment of a student's language skills, where English is not their first language. The tests are free, unlike IELTS or equivalent English language tests, and are designed specifically for access onto NCC Education's programmes.
Testing will take place at the local Accredited Partner Centre. There are two tests available:
- Standard English Placement Test (SEPT) - for students applying for the International Foundation Year or PreMaster's programmes
- Higher English Placement Test (HEPT) - for students applying for the International Certificate, Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Postgraduate Diploma programmes.
Both tests have two parts; part one is an online assessment and part two is conducted face-to-face. The tests will assess a student's full range of English language skills (listening, reading, writing, speaking), identify their strengths and target any skills that need further development. Results can be processed immediately after testing to support a student's application onto an NCC Education programme.
