The Right Honourable Lord Bradley of Withington officially opened the new campus of Manchester International College on Thursday 31st May 2012. Janette Lister, Senior Business Development Manger and Felicity Dale, Marketing Executive represented NCC Education and were privileged to be part of this wonderful event.
Manchester International College (MIC) have been an NCC Education Accredited Partner Centre for over seven years and currently offers our International Foundation Year, Level 7 Diploma in Business Management (QCF) and Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Business IT (QCF). The college opened 10 years ago, and began by teaching English to asylum seekers. Since then over 30,000 students’ lives have been enriched with qualifications ranging from foundation to postgraduate. Quality is crucial to MIC’s success; their online platform won an award last year and they use many online programmes, such as Macmillan English Campus to ensure that they focus on innovative teaching and course delivery.
Lord Bradley was a guest speaker at the event: “It is a pleasure to be here to open this important building block for education in the city. MIC ensures students can learn in their own way, and enables students to maximise their ability and the opportunities available to them.” Other guests included Right Honourable Tony Lloyd and Councillor M. Afzal Khan. MICs Principal closed the speeches “Quality is not on our agenda, Quality IS our agenda”. This resonates throughout the whole campus, from the standard of the teachers, to the classrooms to the alumni.
Janette Lister said “Congratulations from all of us here at NCC Education, we are proud to be partners with such an inspirational college. We wish you all the best for the future, your campus is absolutely fantastic.”
