NCC Education is sponsoring the Optimus Education, Primary ICT event in Central London on 08 May. The event for Headteachers, Heads of Computing and ICT, and ICT and Computing Co-ordinators is designed to support the implementation of the new Computing and ICT curriculum and provide teachers with the confidence to deliver it within Primary schools.
There will be a focus on translating the new terminology into a teacher and student friendly language as well as comprehensive guidance in implementing the Key Stage 1 and 2 curriculums. Expert speakers include Miles Berry, Principal Lecturer in Computing Education at the University of Roehampton as well as teacher and computing leader, Jon Chippindall and ICT Co-ordinator, Michelle Brayford. The event will cover practical strategies for delivering Outstanding primary computing lessons including workshops on establishing assessment criteria and embedding IT across the curriculum.
NCC Education will be represented by Regional Manager, Steve Smith, Marketing Manager, Lucy Nixon and Product Development Manager, Paul Thornton.
