International Foundation Year (IFY)
Applicants who successfully complete the IFY are eligible to apply for a place of undergraduate study. This is subject to the student having obtained the minimum English language requirement, detailed as follows:

• Overall IELTS score of 6.0, or
• TOEFL score of 550 (paper based) or 213 (computer based), or
• LCCIEB ELSA test 350, or
• GCSE English Language Grade C

International Diploma in Computer Studies (IDCS)
Students will be considered through Advanced Prior Learning for entry at level 2 to one of the following University of Portsmouth courses:

• BSc (Hons) Computing (Students must have studied Programming Methods and Java modules)
• BSc (Hons) eCommerce and Internet Systems (Students must have studied Programming Methods, Java, and Developing a Website modules)

For entry, students require an overall pass, with at least half the modules being passed at credit/merit level. Students also require IELTS 6.0 or equivalent

International Advanced Diploma in Computer Studies (IADCS)
Students will be considered through Advanced Prior Learning for entry at level 3 to one of the following University of Portsmouth courses:

• BSc (Hons) Computing (Students must have studied Programming methods, and Java modules or be able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge)
• BSc (Hons) Business Information Systems
• BSc (Hons) eCommerce and Internet Systems (Students must have studied Principles of Web Design and Internet Systems Administration in IADCS and Programming Methods and Java on IDCS)
• BSc (Hons) Mutlimedia Programming (Students must have studied C++ Programming or Advanced Java modules)
• BSc (Hons) Digital Forensics
• BSc (Hons) Computing and Information Systems (Students must have studied Programming Methods and Java modules on IDCS)

For entry, students require an overall pass, with at least half the modules being passed at credit/merit level. Students also require IELTS 6.0 or equivalent

International Advanced Diploma in Business (IADB)
Students will be considered through Advanced Prior Learning for entry at level 3 to one of the following University of Portsmouth courses:

• BA (Hons) Business Administration
• BA (Hons) Business and English

For entry, students require an overall pass with at least half the modules being passed at credit/merit level. Students also require IELTS 6.0 or equivalent

Pre-Masters in Business Information Technology (PMBIT)
Students will be considered through Advanced Prior Learning for entry to one of the following University of Portsmouth courses:

• MA Marketing
• MA Economics for Business
• MA International Business and English

For entry, students require a mark of over 60% in each element and IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
