About The University
Southern Oregon University (SOU) has been widely recognised for its excellence. SOU has been named one of the West’s best regional universities by U.S. News & World Report and has also been praised by The Washington Monthly magazine, which placed SOU among the top 30 percent of master’s universities.
The university offers the entirety of its undergraduate majors and graduate programs to international students. SOU students can choose from 36 majors and 100 programs in business, the arts and sciences, and education. Additionally, SOU provides students real world experience and the opportunity to connect with professors directly. Ninety three percent of the faculty have PhDs and there are about 6500 students at SOU including 150 international students.

SOU’s location in Ashland Oregon is an ideal college town setting. Ashland is considered one of the most desirable places to live in America. With over 100 restaurants, five local performing arts companies (including the award winning Oregon Shakespeare Festival), dozens of art galleries Ashland is a very sophisticated small town.

On Campus Accommodations: (required of all Freshmen)
The residence halls at Southern Oregon University are designed to be comfortable and friendly. There are four residence hall options on campus. Each complex contains recreation areas and vending machines which can only be accessed by residence hall students. Each building has a main lounge with a big screen television, study areas, and at least one kitchen with a microwave oven. Step two: Submit Required Documents
For undergraduate admission, submit official transcripts from your high school, including an English-language version, a copy of your diploma, and your official English Proficiency exam results. For transfer admission, submit official transcripts from all prior college and university course work and your official English Proficiency exam results.
You will receive a fast admission decision and, upon admission, a request from the Office of International Programs for the required financial certificate and other visa documentation.
