Buckinghamshire New University
International Foundation Year (IFY)
The university welcomes applications from students successfully
completing the NCC Education International Foundation Year (IFY) as
suitable entry to the first year of any undergraduate business or
computing programmes, subject to completing the IFY with a minimum
credit grade overall. Applicants should have achieved at least 60%
and may also require minimum marks on specified modules and an
IELTS score of 6.0.
International Diploma in Business (IDB)
To be accepted for second year entry to the BSc
(Hons) Business Management, applicants must successfully
complete the International Diploma in Business and perform well,
typically averaging 60% in the diploma and with an IELTS score of
6.0.
International Diploma in Computer Studies (IDCS)
To be accepted for second year entry to the BSc
(Hons) Computing, applicants must have completed and
performed wel in the IDCS and typically averaged 60% in the
diploma, with an IELTS score of 6.0.
International Advanced Diploma in Business (IADB)
To be accepted for third year entry to the BSc
(Hons) Business Management, applicants must complete the
International Advanced Diploma in Business and perform well,
typically averaging 60%. An IELTS score of 6.5 normally applies to
all final year options.
International Advanced Diploma in Computer Studies (IADCS)
To be accepted for final year entry to the BSc
(Hons) Computing, the applicant's qualifications must
include the Advanced Programming Stream and they must have
performed well, typically averaging 60% in the IADCS
qualification.
To be accepted for final year entry to the BSc
(Hons) Web Development, the applicant's qualifications
must include Web Design and normally, Internet Stream and they must
have performed well, typically averaging 60% in the IADCS
qualification.
To be accepted for final year entry to the BSc
(Hons) Network Security and Management, the applicant's
qualifications must include Internet Stream and they must have
performed well, typically averaging 60% in the IADCS
qualification.
To be accepted for final year entry to the BSc
(Hons) Business Information Technology, the applicant's
qualifications must include Business Management Streat and they
must have performed well, typically averaging 60% in the IADCS
qualification.
Applicants for entry into a final year of a BSc (Hons) degree
who have successfully completed their IADCS and have
performed well, typically averaging 60% in their IADCS, but
without completing any of the named streams, will be considered on
an individual basis. An IELTS score of 6.5 normally applies to all
final year options.
