International Foundation Year (IFY)
Students who successfully complete the NCC Education one year
full time programme entitled NCC Education International Foundation
Year will be considered for entry to the first year of
undergraduate computing degrees in the School of Computing and
Mathematical Sciences. All applications will be considered on their
individual merits and may need to meet specific requirements for
certain programmes as detailed in the university prospectus.
Successful graduates will also be eligible for entry into the
first year of the following undergraduate degree programmes:
- BA (Hons) Business Administration
- BA (Hons) Business Management
International Diploma in Business (IDB)
Successful graduates of the NCC Education International Diploma
in Business are eligible for direct entry into the second year of
the following undergraduate degree programmes:
- BA (Hons) Business Administration
- BA (Hons) Business Management
International Diploma in Computer Studies (IDCS)
Students who successfully complete the NCC Education
International Diploma in Computer Studies with a Credit grade will
be considered for direct entry to the second year of the following
degrees in the School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences:
- BSc (Hons) Information Systems
- BSc (Hons) Business IT
- BSc (Hons) Computing
- BSc (Hons) Internet Computing (for students that have completed
the Programming Methods, Java and Developing a Website
modules)
- BSc (Hons) Internet Information Systems (for students that have
completed the VB.Net module)
International Advanced Diploma in Business (IADB)
Successful graduates of the NCC Education International Advanced
Diploma in Business are eligible for direct entry into the final
year of the following undergraduate degree programmes:
- BA (Hons) Business Administration
- BA (Hons) Business Management
The above agreement is subject to the applicant having an IELTS
score of 6.0 or equivalent.
The Business School is also intending to validate the titles BA
Business 'with' Accounting / HRM / Marketing / Supply Chain
Management for September 2008 and would welcome admissions with
advanced standing to these programmes outlined above provided an
appropriate option choice has been followed by students.
International Advanced Diploma in Computer Studies (IADCS)
Successful graduates of the NCC Education International Advanced
Diploma in Computer Studies with a Pass grade will be considered
for direct entry to the second year of the following degrees in the
School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences:
- BSc (Hons) Information Systems
- BSc (Hons) Business IT
- BSc (Hons) Computing
- BSc (Hons) Internet Computing
- BSc (Hons) Internet Information Systems
Those students that have passed with a Credit grade will be
considered for direct entry to the third year of the following
degree courses:
- BSc (Hons) Computing
- BSc (Hons) Business IT
- BSc (Hons) Information Systems
- BSc(Hons) Internet Information Systems (for students that have
completed the Multimedia module on IDCS and the Internet Security
module on IADCS)
Postgraduate Diploma in Information Technology (PgD SBIT)
Successful graduates of the NCC Education Postraduate Diploma in
Strategic Business IT are eligible to apply for credit recognition
to the sum of 120 credits towards the following programme:
- MSc Information Systems Management
Students may then study the following MSc Projects module at the
University of Greenwich (a further 60 credits) in order to complete
the MSc Information Systems Management.
Students must also meet the university's minimum entry
requirements, including English level, currently IELTS 6.0 or
equivalent for this programme.
