Secretary of State for Education Bridget Phillipson speech at the Embassy Education Conference and welcomes International Students.

In review of the speech made key individuals at NCC Education shared their same thoughts especially regarding International Students:

“It is encouraging to see such a vast change in the rhetoric around international education. For a long time, international students in the UK have been used as a political pawn, drawing criticism from all sides. For the new Secretary of State for Education to address this, by not only discussing the economic benefits that international students and graduates can bring to the country, but by also talking about the courage needed for individual’s to pursue an education overseas is heartening.

Across the sector, we know how important it is to be welcoming to all students, we know how much the country benefits from international students, and for our government to recognise this and to make a commitment to ensuring that the UK remains a welcoming destination is very positive news.

We welcome Bridget Phillipson’s comments making it clear that international students are valued in the UK and the announcement that the Graduate Visa is here to stay.”
