UK-based provider Find Education has announced a Blended International Foundation Diploma programme, combining online tuition with on-campus teaching when facilities can reopen.
The Blended IFD pre-university programme is accredited by NCC Education and offers specialisation streams in business, finance, computing and engineering, with progression opportunities to more than 70 universities in the UK, the USA, Canada and Ireland, Find Education said.
The provider said that since the start of Covid-19 travel restrictions its main priority has been developing the blended foundation for students who may not be able to travel in September, as well as delivering online language programmes.
Alia Leoussis, Managing Director at Find Education, explained, “We are committed to providing students an opportunity to complete the first three months of the IFD course online – without interruption by the global pandemic – and we are looking forward to welcoming them back in the classroom, located at the Wheatley Campus of Oxford Brookes University in January 2021 for 5.5 months of face-to-face studies.”
The company said, “Find Education has reviewed its tuition fees, encouraging students to consider the Blended IFD as a great value alternative that will allow them to save on accommodation, travel and visa costs as well as tuition.”
The Blended IFD course will utilise the Blackboard Open LMS and Collaborate online learning platforms, and international students will have the chance to interact with each other and their tutors via live online classes, chat and group discussions.
Find Education is accredited by the British Council and ABLS and offers a portfolio of programmes including summer English junior courses in five locations, teacher training, school integration and foundation programmes, as well as student accommodation through the Find Digs brand.
NCC Education is a UK-based awarding body for qualifications in computing and business, as well as foundation programmes for international students. Find Education is part of NCC Education’s network of 170 accredited partner centres in 50 countries.
