About the centre
African Leadership College (ALC), established in 2015 in Beau Plan, Mauritius, continues its mission to redefine higher education in Africa and beyond through a new partnership with NCC Education.
Founded with the vision of creating a hub where exceptional young people can develop leadership and entrepreneurial skills, discover their purpose, and access opportunities to create meaningful change, ALCHE has become a growing force in shaping the next generation of African leaders.
Empower Students in Mauritius with UK-Regulated Qualifications
As Africa is projected to have the largest and youngest workforce in the world by 2035, the partnership between ALCHE and NCC Education represents a strategic step towards widening access to high-quality international education across the continent.
Through this collaboration, African Leadership College will deliver the NCC Education Level 3 International Foundation Diploma for Higher Education Studies (L3IFDHES), providing students with a recognised progression pathway into higher education and global university opportunities.
The programme offers students from different academic backgrounds access to internationally recognised qualifications while developing essential academic, leadership, entrepreneurial, and practical skills required for future success. Students progressing through the pathway may continue into degree programmes including Entrepreneurial Leadership, International Business and Trade, Computer Science, and Software Engineering.
Mission and Vision
The partnership reflects a shared mission between NCC Education and ALCHE to support and empower the academic and professional landscape in Mauritius and across Africa by creating accessible, future-focused education opportunities.
Jeremy Ruiters, Dean of African Leadership College, said:
“Partnering with NCC Education is a significant step for African Leadership College and for our students in Mauritius. It opens an important door for students from different academic backgrounds, giving them a credible and well-supported pathway into our BSc (Hons) programmes in Entrepreneurial Leadership, International Business and Trade, Computer Science, and Software Engineering.
At ALCHE, we are not just preparing graduates. We are developing leaders, builders, and problem-solvers with the leadership, entrepreneurial mindset, and practical skills to make a real difference. This partnership opens that opportunity to a wider group of students, and that is something we are genuinely proud to be part of.”
Tamsin Bell, NCC Education Business Development Manager, also welcomed the partnership:
“We are thrilled to welcome African Leadership College as the latest NCC Education Accredited Partner in Mauritius.
They will be delivering our International Foundation Diploma, serving as a progression route for their students to gain entry into universities globally.
African Leadership College provides higher education for a higher purpose, where young people hold the potential to become entrepreneurial leaders by unlocking their potential through a one-of-a-kind learning experience that gives students the foundation for a lifetime of leading positive change.”
This collaboration reinforces both organisations’ commitment to nurturing ethical, entrepreneurial, and globally minded graduates equipped to contribute positively to the future of Africa and the wider global community.
