IT Qualifications

RQF – Level 3

The Level 3 Diploma in Computing (L3DC) is a 60 credit qualification that aims to prepare students for entry onto the NCC Education Level 4 Diploma in Computing (L4DC) or Level 4 Diploma in Business IT (L4DBIT).

Level 4 Diploma in Computing (L4DC) makes up the first year of the NCC Education degree journey. The qualification is equivalent to the first year of an IT degree qualification in the UK university system.

The Level 5 Diploma in Business Technology (L5DBIT)/ Level 5 Diploma in Computing (with Business Management) (L5DC BM) makes up the second year of the NCC Education degree journey and builds upon the knowledge gained during the NCC Education Level 4 Diploma in Business Information Technology. Students will be exposed to more advanced topics in a range of areas including information systems analysis, database development and the principles of business operations.

The Level 5 Diploma in Computing (L5DC) makes up the second year of the NCC Education degree journey and builds upon the knowledge gained during the NCC Education Level 4 Diploma in Computing (L4DC) . Exposing students to greater detail and more advanced topics in a range of areas including database development, information systems analysis, and network security and cryptography.

This qualification is designed to develop the specialist skills necessary to protect and secure data systems from ever-increasing threats in today’s evolving digital society. Students will study 6 units including the following; Network Security Threats and Defence Mechanisms, Ethical Hacking and Information Security Assessments, Computer Forensics and Incident Investigation (which have been developed by the EC Council, the world’s largest cyber security technical certification body).

The BSc (Hons) Computing Top-up Degree, delivered by NCC Education Accredited Partner Centres and awarded by the University of Greenwich, has been designed to prepare students for employment in the IT sector.

Delivered by NCC Education, validated and awarded by the University of Central Lancashire

The BSc (Hons) Business Computing and Information Systems Top-up Degree, delivered online by NCC Education, assessed at our Accredited Partner Centres and validated and awarded by the University of Central Lancashire, has been designed to prepare students for employment in the IT sector.
