Fundamentals for Professional Development: Data Science

The Data Science Module will give you an opportunity to explore the need for Data Science by understanding its definition and significance to organisations.


You’ll be able to grasp the meaning of terms such as Big Data and determine the differences between Business Intelligence and Data Science. In understanding the Data Science Project Lifecycle, you will be able to identify different types of data and learn how it is interpreted.

You will also explore the different tools Data Science utilises to analyse and generate predictions. Rounding of this module you will begin to observe the key trends impacting the future of Data Science, evaluate key factors shaping the industry and identify potential career opportunities in this sector.
