About the centre

Skills Development Education Centre (SDEC) was established in 1999 and started with preschool classes. Since then, it has gained the trust and support of the parents. Today, we have become one of the popular international schools in Myanmar providing quality education. 
 
SDEC is now running preschool, primary and secondary levels with expert, well-qualified and experienced teachers. SDEC also has Summer Classes for English Proficiency and IGCSE and IAL Exam Preparation Classes. 
 
SDEC prescribes UK curriculum using textbooks from popular publishers from UK, Singapore and USA. There are also self-developed resources to adapt the best with the local context. 
 
The driving force for the creation of this SDEC was the need for students to learn quality academic skills in a wholesome environment in the context of our culture utilizing the best curriculum and textbooks and up-to-date teaching methodologies. 
 
Our desire is to see every student encouraged and motivated to become all that the global society challenges them to be competent in academic, social, physical and artistic skills. Most importantly, emphasis is given to develop in spiritual or ethical and in 21st Century skills so that the students will become good and competent citizens for our country.
