About the University
Founded with a mission to ‘advance the prosperity and welfare of our communities’, The University of Western Australia opened in 1913 and belongs to the country’s prestigious Group of Eight universities.
The UWA coat of arms proudly display a maali, or black swan; this large, native bird is the state emblem of Western Australia and carries a spiritual significance in the traditional histories of many Australian Aboriginal peoples across southern Australia.
Today, more than 28,000 students are enrolled at UWA from 115 countries. How to Apply
Upon completing the NCC Education Level 3 International Foundation Diploma for Higher Education Studies, students are welcome to apply to undergraduate degrees at The University of Western Australia*.
