The International Pre‑Master’s in Business has been created to support candidates who wish to progress to master’s‑level study but need an academic or language pathway to get there. This programme enables students to:
- Strengthen their English language skills to a level suitable for postgraduate entry

- Gain foundational knowledge in key business disciplines taught through the medium of English
- Progress directly onto a master’s degree upon successful completion

Programme Overview
Qualification Title: International Pre‑Master’s in Business (V3.00)
Total Qualification Time (TQT): 1200 hours
Guided Learning Hours (GLH): 510.5 hours
Credit Value: 120 credits
The programme comprises five core units, each carefully selected to build the skills necessary for postgraduate business study:
- English for Postgraduate Academic Purposes (EPAP)
- Research Skills for Postgraduate Studies (RSPS)
- International Business and Leadership (IBL)
- International Marketing (IM)
- Finance and Accounting for Managers (FAM)
These units combine academic English development with essential business knowledge, ensuring a smooth transition into master’s‑level coursework.
Entry Requirements
To enrol onto the NCC Education International Pre‑Master’s in Business, applicants must hold one of the following:
Academic Requirements
- A qualification equivalent to a full UK bachelor’s degree from a recognised institution
OR - A completed 3‑year Diploma (Chinese Da Zhuan, or equivalent)
English Language Requirements
Students must demonstrate English proficiency through one of the following:
- IELTS 5.5 or above
- NCC Education Higher English Placement Test (HEPT) score of 40% or above
- Oxford Test of English score of 111 or above
Learners who do not meet this requirement may complete the NCC Education Level 3 Developing English Language Skills unit as a pathway to entry.
