Sunderland has been an important centre for education 647AD, when Benedict Bishop built St Peter’s Church and monastery. This area has since been developed as the Sir Tom Cowie Campus at St Peter’s of the University of Sunderland.
The university, which received its status in 1992, now has 27,500 students based in campuses in the North East of England, in London and Hong Kong, and at its global partnerships with learning institutions in 15 countries.
Ranked as a top 50 university in the Guardian University Guide 2023, the university has a commitment to widening participation, world-leading research, and public and private sector collaborations. Sunderland is recognised internationally as a leading university, receiving five stars for teaching, inclusiveness, employability and facilities in the QS World University Rankings 2023. Upon completing the NCC Education Level 5 Diploma in Business, students can now apply to the University of Sunderland BA (Hons) Business and Management (Stage 3).
In addition to this, students who complete the NCC Education Level 7 Diploma in Business Management will now be eligible to apply to the University of Sunderland’s Master of Business Administration (60 Credit Final Stage) programme.
