NCC Education Announce Progression Route with University of Sunderland, UK, and Hong Kong

NCC Education is delighted to announce a new progression route to the University of Sunderland.

Sunderland has been an important centre for education 647AD, when Benedict Bishop built St Peter’s Church and monastery. This area has since been developed as the Sir Tom Cowie Campus at St Peter’s of the University of Sunderland.

The university, which received its status in 1992, now has 27,500 students based in campuses in the North East of England, in London and Hong Kong, and at its global partnerships with learning institutions in 15 countries.

Ranked as a top 50 university in the Guardian University Guide 2023, the university has a commitment to widening participation, world-leading research, and public and private sector collaborations. Sunderland is recognised internationally as a leading university, receiving five stars for teaching, inclusiveness, employability and facilities in the QS World University Rankings 2023. The university was also named The Times University of the Year for Social Inclusion 2023.

Upon completing the NCC Education Level 5 Diploma in Business, students can now apply to the University of Sunderland BA (Hons) Business and Management (Stage 3).

In addition to this, students who complete the NCC Education Level 7 Diploma in Business Management will now be eligible to apply to the University of Sunderland’s Master of Business Administration (60 Credit Final Stage) programme.

Head of Partnerships at NCC Education, Rebecca Bewley, expressed her excitement for this new progression:

“University of Sunderland is a highly desirable study destination for students around the world. I am therefore delighted to see that our Level 5 Diploma in Business is recognised by the University of Sunderland for entry to the final stage of the BA (Hons) Business and Management programme. For postgraduate students, the option to convert their NCC Education Level 7 Diploma in Business Management to a full MBA via distance study with the University of Sunderland is a fantastic opportunity.”

Ian Moody, Director of the International Office at the University of Sunderland said:

“We are very pleased to provide further access to our high-quality degrees. Offers will be made on a case-by-case basis, subject to minimum entry and unit requirements. We have a long-standing record of ensuring our graduates are successful during their studies and also providing them the very best opportunity to gain employment once they graduate.”

*offers will be made on a case-by-case basis, subject to minimum entry and unit requirements.
