NCC Education are delighted to announce being shortlisted for this year’s FAB Awards (Federation of Awarding Bodies); the trade association for professional and technical awarding organisations.
Now in its fifth year, the awards are an annual celebration of successes and achievements in the awarding and assessment sector.
The awarding ceremony will be held on the first evening of the annual FAB conference, which will take place on the 10th and the 11th of October 2019.
The FAB awards aim to highlight the successes of awarding and assessment organisations by looking at the export growth achieved and the organisations’ overall strategy and commitment to international business.
Being nominated for ‘Exporter of the Year’ requires an excellent track record in international exporting; key challenges overcome and potential growth in business.
NCC Education student Kudzai Mhlanga who is currently studying at Speciss College in Zimbabwe has been nominated as ‘Learner of the Year’ for his dedication to completing the Level 5 Diploma in Computing with merit despite the life-threatening situation in his home country and frequent power cuts, which critically hindered his progression throughout the course.
Currently FAB represents over 115 British organisations who award, design and assess qualifications. The organisation influences government policy on technical education throughout the United Kingdom.
General Manager Esther Chesterman at NCC Education says: “We have a long history of exporting British education and to be recognised as a finalist in this category is testament to the work carried out at our head office in Manchester as well as across our regional offices.
“The team works hard to ensure our products and services meet the needs of our students, wherever they may be studying.”
Chief Executive Tom Bewick at FAB says: “The FAB Awards is an opportunity for the industry to come together to celebrate success and share good practice.
“The standard of entries this year was exceptionally high, and we look forward to announcing the winners at the Awards dinner.”
